What A Great Deal!

I stopped in the Goodwill after the gym this evening not really looking for anything in particular since I find their prices to be higher than other second hand stores. But tonight was my lucky night! I found a Victoria Secret's robe in great condition and a Kate Spade purse that looks immaculate! For both I paid $11.98 plus tax and that is a deal my friends when you think of what they cost if you buy them in a store brand new. For once I was happy to pay a little extra knowing the great deal I was getting.

Frugal Book Buying

Our local library was having a sale on used books today and I did really well and only went over my budget for M and me by $1! I spent $21 on M and me and then another $4.50 on computer books for G and $4.00 on a collection of books from early 1900's and two from the late 1800's that will be sold for profit. For M I got the 7th book in the Lemeny Snicket's Unfortunate Series, two Goosebump books, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a refrence book on Dinosaurs, a reference book on Trees, a reference book on Rocks and Minerals, a 2000 Kid's World Almanac, a Choose Your Own Adventure book, Ramona Quimby Age 8, Ramona Forever, and A Winkle In Time. For me I got: Born For Liberty (A Woman's History Book), The Little House Cookbook, Daniel Steel's Daddy, Daniel Steel's Heartbeat, Daniel Steel's No Greater Love, Stephen King's Christine, Stephen King's Misery, Stephen King's 1408, It Happened In Texas (Several stories of Texas), The Jester, Zodiac, Little House in the Big Woods, On The Banks of Plum Creek, The Long Winter, Little Town on the Prarie, and The first five in the Monica Ferris Needlecraft Mysery Series and the 7th and 9th book in the series. I need to find the 6th one and the 8th one along with 10th, 11th, and 12th to have the complete series. Now I just need to get an actual bookshelf instead of a little rack that I have been using for me and I will be good to go.

Hello Lover

Shoes and I don't always get along but for once I found a match made in heaven. What kind of shoe could possibly make a girl so giddy with happiness you ask? It is this sandal from Target. Being in the south there are two requirements for shoes in the summer; open toe and thick soles. Nothing is worse than a thin soled sandal or shoe on a really hot day in South Texas. Who knew a girl could run that fast across a parking lot as her feet were being burnt from the black pavenment. These sandals are great for casual or even to dress an outfit up a bit. They slide on so no straps to worry about and the cute wedge heel gives a short girl like me a little pick me up. They are so comfortable to walk in as well! I haven't given them a proper work out yet but I am sure they will past the test with flying colors. So if you are in the market for some new black sandals for the summer then these are a must and whats even better they come in brown as well!
